Here at Conflict at the Castle, we want to help make sure that the entire team is recognized for the huge help and work that they put in to make this thing come together. To that end, we’re going to put out a few highlights introducing these fine folks.
Up next are the Sultans of Swag! These folks have been tapped in one way or another to help brainstorm, organize, and design a variety of additional prizes for this blowout event.
Kyle Vancil – Kyle is one of the few other CCG era players still standing in the A Game of Thrones community. He started way back in the hallowed ages of 2006, where he was known at the time as the youngest player in the community by a healthy margin. These days, he’s matured both in years and in his place in the community. He’s well known as one of the co-hosts of The White Book podcast as well as organizer of one of the most swag filled tournaments around, the annual IoWorlds event. And to boot, he’s still one of the funniest guys around.
Tyler Schlottman – Tyler is a recent addition to the AGOT fold, having just started the game a few months ago here in Springfield, MO. However, he already has a depth of experience from other card games like Keyforge and minis such as Warhammer. He’s been dabbling in graphic design for the last 8 years or so, and has enjoyed expanding things for the games he plays so much, that he’s actually started a side job called Quarter Tokens.
Michael Lamezec – Mike is essentially the godfather of AGOT fan graphic design at this point. A resident of New Jersey, he picked up the game with 2ED and first did some work on custom cards for a local tournament. Fortunately for us all (unfortunately for him?) word of his prowess quickly spread and he’s become the go to guy for alt card needs. He’s got enough on his plate that he took a step back this year, but we still thank him for the logo work and AGOT.Cards templates that we’re still using this year!
Chris & Jess Thompson – Few people in the community don’t know the Thompson Dynamic Duo at this point. They’re prolific players and travelers all along the Midwest and Eastern US (broken up by stints to the West Coast and Europe – did I mention they travel a lot?). They also spearhead some of the most swag filled events in the Midwest and Chris is the organizer and driving force behind the Midwest Circuit.
And here’s a tease of new and returning AGOT.Cards promos coming at the event this year!
