Unofficial FAQ for King of the Isles, the sixth deluxe expansion.

Balon Greyjoy (KotI) House Greyjoy Character Plot deck limit: 3. Ironborn. Lord. Pillage. Renown.
Action: Kneel your faction card to choose a card in an opponent’s discard pile and put it into play under your control. At the end of the phase, if that card is still in play, shuffle it into its owner’s deck. Kings of the Isles #1

• You cannot choose an event in your opponent’s discard pile and put it into play. Put into play and playing an event are not the same.

Desert Raider (KotI) House Martell Character Plot deck limit: 3. Ally. House Dayne. Raider. Reaction: After you lose a challenge, put Desert Raider into play from your dead pile and choose a character controlled by the winning opponent. That character gains 1 power. Until the end of the phase, that character loses an or icon and Desert Raider gains that icon. Kings of the Isles #29

• Even if you cannot put Desert Raider into play (Barring the Gates), you can still choose a character to gain a power and lose an icon. If characters cannot gain power (Karhold), Desert raider still enters play and the chosen character loses an icon. (Source)

FuryFury House Baratheon Location Plot deck limit: 3. Warship. While you control Stannis Baratheon, he gains intimidate.
Reaction: After you win a challenge, kneel Fury to choose a character or location. Move 1 power from that card to your faction card. Kings of the Isles #26 / KarholdKarhold House Stark Location Plot deck limit: 3. The North. While a player does not have a Winter plot card revealed, characters and locations he or she controls cannot gain power. Kings of the Isles #34 / The Starry SeptThe Starry Sept Neutral Location Plot deck limit: 3. Oldtown. The Seven. Action: Move 1 power from The Starry Sept to a character. Until the end of the phase, treat that character as if its printed text box were blank (except for Traits).
Reaction: After you win a challenge, The Starry Sept gains 1 power. Kings of the Isles #42 :

• Moving power is not the same as gaining power.

Maiden's Bane House Greyjoy Location Plot deck limit: 3. Warship. Reaction: After you win an unopposed challenge, kneel Maiden’s Bane to choose and stand an attacking character. Then, if that character is a Captain, stand Maiden’s Bane. Kings of the Isles #19

• If you win an unopposed challenge with multiple characters that has the captain trait, you can only trigger Maiden’s bane once. You can only trigger an ability once per triggering condition.

Golden Storm House Greyjoy Location Plot deck limit: 3. Warship. Reaction: After you win a challenge as the attacking player, kneel Golden Storm to choose and kill a participating character. Then, if you control a participating Raider character, stand Golden Storm. Kings of the Isles #18

• If you win a military challenge with multiple characters that has the raider trait, you can only trigger Golden Storm once. You can only trigger an ability once per triggering condition.

Scouting Vessel House Greyjoy Location Plot deck limit: 3. Warship. Interrupt: When a character you control discards a card using pillage, kneel and sacrifice Scouting Vessel to discard 3 cards instead. Kings of the Isles #20

• If you trigger more than 1 scouting vessel when pillage happens, each scouting vessel adds 2 additional pillage. Triggering 2 scouting vessel will result in 5 cards being pillaged.
• All pillaged cards enter the discard pile simultaneously.
• Because the triggered ability is an interrupt, you must decide to if you want to trigger it before any cards gets pillaged. 
• You can trigger an ability that reacts to cards being pillaged for each card pillaged. (Source) In between each time you wanted to trigger an ability that reacts to each card being pillaged, your opponent also has an opportunity to react to a card being pillaged.
• If you pillage using Euron Crow’s EyeEuron Crow's Eye (Core) House Greyjoy Character Plot deck limit: 3. Ironborn. Lord. Raider. Pillage. Renown.
  Reaction: After Euron Crow’s Eye discards a card using pillage, put a location from the losing opponent’s discard pile into play under your control. Core Set #69 to take control of a Scouting Vessel from your opponent’s discard pile, it is too late to trigger the Scouting Vessel you just took control since the interrupt window to a pillage occurring has passed and you are now in the reaction window of a pillage having occurred.

Citadel Archivist Neutral Character Plot deck limit: 3. Maester. Reaction: After Citadel Archivist enters your discard pile, each player shuffles his or her discard pile into his or her deck. Kings of the Isles #41

• If Citadel Archivist gets pillaged, the first player has the first opportunity to trigger any reactions to Citadel Archivist entering the discard pile.

Sea of Blood (KotI) Neutral Agenda Plot deck limit: 1. Prophecy. During challenges, reduce the cost of each event you play by 1 for each blood token on Sea of Blood. You cannot play events during or challenges.
Reaction: After you win a challenge by 5 or more STR, kneel your faction card to place a blood token on Sea of Blood. Then, search your deck for an event, reveal it, and add it to your hand. Shuffle your deck. Kings of the Isles #45

• An event searched for by Sea of Blood can be played in the same reaction window if the triggering conditions are met (Ex: Put to the Sword).
• Your opponent has the opportunity to trigger a reaction to losing the challenge (Ex: His Viper Eyes) after you trigger Sea of Blood before you can trigger your next card effect for winning the challenge.

Silence (ToJ) House Greyjoy Location Plot deck limit: 40. Warship. Each Raider character you control gains pillage.
While an opponent has 10 or more cards in their discard pile, each Raider character you control gets +1 STR. Tower of Joy Draft Set #69

• If you put a duplicate of a unique warship into play, the pre-then aspect of the effect did not resolve successfully and thus you cannot stand Euron.

Eager Deckhand House Greyjoy Character Plot deck limit: 3. Ally. Raider. Reaction: After a Warship location enters play under your control, put Eager Deckhand into play from your hand. Kings of the Isles #14

• If a duplicate of a unique warship enters play, the triggering condition has not been met and you cannot put Eager Deckhand into play from your hand.

Heir to the Iron Throne Neutral Plot Income: 4. Initiative: 1. Claim: 1. Reserve: 6. Plot deck limit: 2. Kingdom. When Revealed: Search the top 10 cards of your deck for a Lord or Lady character and put it into play. Shuffle your deck. Then, sacrifice a Lord or Lady character. Kings of the Isles #48

• If you do not find a Lord or Lady in the top 10 cards, the pre-then aspect of the effect did not resolve successfully and thus you cannot sacrifice a Lord or Lady. You can choose not to find a Lord or Lady despite there being a Lord or Lady in the top 10 cards.
• If you find and put into play a duplicate of a Lord or Lady, the pre-then aspect of the effect did not resolve successfully and thus you cannot sacrifice a Lord or Lady.

• If you win a challenge with The Knight and other characters, he can still gain renown if he is alone in the challenge when it’s time to trigger keywords. He can also trigger abilities based on when a Knight character wins a challenge alone as long as he is alone before or during the reaction window for winning the challenge. (Ex: You win a challenge with The Knight and The Hound).

The Drumm House Greyjoy Character Plot deck limit: 3. Captain. Lord. While The Drumm is attacking in a or challenge, each character with an icon cannot be declared as a defender. Kings of the Isles #6

• A character with an intrigue icon can still participate in a challenge against you when you attack with The Drumm as long as the character is participating in the challenge without being declared as a defender. (Ex: My mind is my weapon)

Khorane Sathmantes House Baratheon Character Plot deck limit: 3. Captain. Raider. Smuggler. Action: Kneel Khorane Sathmantes and a Warship location to choose and kneel 1 character and 1 location. Kings of the Isles #25

• You must be able to choose both a valid character and location to kneel to trigger the ability.

Gwynesse Harlaw House Greyjoy Character Plot deck limit: 3. House Harlaw. Lady. Action: Choose 3 cards in an opponent’s discard pile and place them on the bottom of his or her deck in any order. Then, gain 1 gold and draw 1 card. (Limit once per round.) Kings of the Isles #7

• Your opponent must have at least 3 cards in his discard pile for you to choose to trigger the ability.

Cohollo House Targaryen Character Plot deck limit: 3. Bloodrider. Dothraki. Intimidate.
Action: Kneel Cohollo and discard 1 card from your hand to have him participate in a challenge on your side. Kings of the Isles #35

• You cannot declare a challenge without at least 1 character declared as attackers and then use Cohollo’s ability to put him into the challenge.

My Mind Is My Weapon House Lannister Event Plot deck limit: 3. Action: During a challenge, choose a character you control with an icon and have it participate in the challenge on your side. Kings of the Isles #28

• You can choose a kneeling character with an intrigue icon to participate in a military challenge. If the chosen character was standing, it does not kneel to participate.

Return to the Fields (KotI) Neutral Plot Income: 4. Initiative: 6. Claim: 1. Reserve: 7. Plot deck limit: 2. Edict. When Revealed: You may sacrifice up to 3 characters. For each character sacrificed this way, draw 1 card and gain 1 gold. Kings of the Isles #47

• All the characters are sacrificed simultaneously.

Drowned Prophet House Greyjoy Character Plot deck limit: 3. Drowned God. Interrupt: When Drowned Prophet is killed, search the top 5 cards of your deck for a character and place it in your dead pile. Shuffle your deck. Kings of the Isles #13

• As an interrupt, the chosen character is placed in the dead pile first before the Drowned Prophet dies and enters the dead pile.

Priest of Old Wyk House Greyjoy Character Plot deck limit: 3. Drowned God. While there is a Drowned God character in your dead pile, Priest of Old Wyk contributes its STR to your total for dominance even while kneeling. Kings of the Isles #12

• If an effect causes Priest of Old Wyk to not contribute its strength to dominance (Ex:Traitor to the Crown or Edric Storm), it still does not contribute his STR to dominance even if you have a drowned god character in your dead pile.
