We’re proud to announce the Northeast Championship Tour (NECT) – a new series of tournaments throughout the northeast of the United States for the 2018 competitive season! Inspired by the Road to Stahleck Tour in Europe this championship series seeks to promote competitive but friendly play for Game of Thrones the Card Game in the northeastern corridor of the United States. The tour will travel throughout New England and Mid-Atlantic beginning with Winds of Winter in Boston and culminating with the Northeast Championship at Red Saturday in New York City. Across every NECT tournament there will be consistent high quality prize support and organization.  The 2018 season we have seven planned stops on the NECT (not including the championship): Boston in February 2018 (Winds of Winter) Philadelphia in early Spring 2018 (The Storming of Starpike) Southern Massachusetts in late Spring 2018 New Hampshire in Summer 2018 (The Field of Fire) New York City in early Summer 2018 (Dance with Dragons) New Jersey in late Summer 2018 (The Lord of the Crossing) Maryland in September 2018 (Battle on the Bay of Crabs) The Northeast Championship will be held in New York City at Red Saturday on November 24th 2018. What will you be competing for by attending stops on the NECT? Each event will have its own unique alternative art plot with original, commissioned art that is available to all participating players. We are also commissioning eight original art faction cards for players to collect across each stop on the tour! The champion of each event will also receive a first round bye at the Northeast Championship and free accommodations in New York City for the weekend. The goal of this tour is to promote the community here in the northeastern part of the United States. Stretching from chilly Boston to balmy Washington DC, we have one of the most competitive and fun communties in Game of Thrones. We hope that this tour will give more opportunities for players to get together to compete and, most importantly, have fun.
